Reflective Postcards, 2016
This reflective postcard series was developed out of ideas around reality and interpretation. Each side of the postcards contains two layers of information. The bottom layer reflects the reality of my experiences throughout the year, shown through photography and typeset text, while the top layer, expressed through illustration and hand-generated type, reflects my personal interpretation of events. All of the text was adapted from journal entires and reflections for this subject throughout the semester.
My postcard series incorporates a mix of photography, illustration, typography and hand- generated type, and is printed on 210gsm watercolour paper with an acetate overlay, stitched together with white cotton.
